In The News: George’s Flowers Brings “Petal It Forward” Back to Roanoke

George’s Flowers played a prominent role in bringing back “Petal It Forward” to the Roanoke communities, as they were one of six florists in the state of Virginia to fill their town with colorful flowers in October of 2021. Thanks to their sponsors, volunteers, and partners at MKB Realtors and TFS Roanoke, George’s Flowers handed out over 4,000 brightly colored floral bouquets to strangers, as the initiative revolves around spreading smiles through fresh flowers. Volunteers handed each recipient two free flower bouquets; one to keep and one to give to someone else. “Petal It Forward” is a national annual event that proves how impactful and uplifting it is to give and receive beautiful blooms. Studies show that flowers make us happy, and “Petal It Forward” is another positive test supporting this theory. 

Since this is the second year George’s Flowers participated in this initiative, there was quite a buzz throughout the community as the florist prepared for the event. The news channels and media outlets that highlighted George’s Flowers include:
